John Prine John Prine & Friends Live at Newport Folk Festival 2017 esce in vinile

Nel 2017, John Prine ha suonato un set al Newport Folk Festival che includeva apparizioni di Justin Vernon, Jim James, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, Lucius e Roger Waters. La performance è stata registrata e ora viene stampata su vinile: John Prine and Friends Live at Newport Folk 2017 è previsto in uscita per ottobre 2021. 

Al Newport Folk 2017, Prine ha eseguito Bruised Orange (Chain of Sorrow) con Justin Vernon, In Spite of Ourselves con Margo Price, e All the Best con Jim James. Prine e i suoi ospiti hanno chiuso lo spettacolo con una performance di gruppo di Paradise.

All'inizio di questo mese, John Prine è stato premiato postumo con i Grammy Awards 2021 per la migliore performance e la migliore canzone roots americana.
