The Doubtful Bottle Satellite, anteprima esclusiva del nuovo singolo della band inglese
Oggi, 20 agosto, in esclusiva su Mescalina.it, contemporaneamente con il Regno Unito, l ‘ anteprima del nuovo singolo della band indie; rock inglese The Doubtful Bottle. Il brano viene pubblicato per l ‘ etichetta Neil Grant Music Publishing.
“Se il mondo stesse per finire, trascorrerei il mio ultimo giorno con il mio unico vero amore, solo noi due, magari volando nello spazio” (John Gillies).Registrato al The Metway Recording Studio di Brighton (Nick Cave, Royal Blood) con l’ausilio del produttore Jake Rousham, già a lavoro con artisti come The Who, il nuovo singolo della band inglese s’intitola Satellite.
In un mondo sempre più difficile, Satellite è un inno alla positività, alle emozioni e ai sentimenti genuini. Una canzone d’amore che ruota intorno al tema dell’universo (“We are riding through the sky at a million miles an hour’ says it all”) e che nel suo intento vuole essere allegra.
Provenienti dal North Yorkshire, i The Doubtful Bottle sono una delle più interessanti band emergenti dello scenario indie – alternative Britannico.
Definiti dalla BBC inglese “frantic interdimensional cool rock band” e paragonati ad artisti del calibro di Blondie, The Young Knives ed XTC, i The Doubtful Bottle hanno iniziato il loro percorso artistico nel 2017 debuttando con il fortunato singolo Can’t Climb Any Higher, seguito poi da Wait For Love, Trickery ed Eye.
La Band guidata dal songwriter John Gillies e dalla cantante Genevieve Gillies, con Lee Potter alla chitarra, Nathan Reeves al basso e Jim Beadle alla batteria, continua a far parlare di sé dopo gli ottimi riscontri di critica e pubblico ottenuti nel Regno Unito e in altri Paesi europei tra cui l’Italia, dove hanno compiuto un tour nel 2019.
Grazie al loro background folk, la band Britannica ha lavorato con la leggenda Judy Dyble (Fairport Convention), mentre il gioco di voci di John e Genevieve e la miscela sonora di indie – rock e grunge hanno dato vita ad un noise sensuale ed energico, supportato da melodie orecchiabili e ritmi frenetici.
