America America nuovo disco: My Back Pages

Gli America celebrano i quarant’anni di carriera realizzando l’album Back Pages che verrà pubblicato il 26 luglio via Entertainment One Music.

Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell hanno assemblato un album di cover che vanno dagli anni ’60 ad oggi  prendendo pezzi di veterani della canzone d’autore quali: Bob Dylan, the Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Simon & Garfunkel, the Beach Boys, Neil Young, Jimmy Webb, the Zombies and Mark Knopfler ma anche di moderni quali Fountains of Wayne, the New Radicals and the Gin Blossoms.
Jimmy Webb ha detto: "la nuova versione degli America della mia Crying In My Sleep is the best ever. In a reasonable world this would be a top ten record. Beckley is on top of his game and still sounds eighteen. Production values here are over the top."
